PENTECOST, S. SAXTON

Funeral services were Sunday, April 25, 2005 at Collier-Butler Chapel
for Mr. S. Saxton Pentecost, 78, Glencoe, who died Thursday, April 22,
2004. Rev. Vince Whittington officiated. Burial was at Crestwood
Cemetery. Collier Butler Funeral Home directed.

Mr. Pentecost was a member of First Baptist Church of Glencoe for 49
years. He retired for LTV Steel after 37 years of service and a veteran
of the U.S. Navy serving during WW II. He was a devoted husband, father
and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Mr. Pentecost was preceded in
death by his parents, Floyd and Zula Mae Pentecost and brother, Lafon
Pentecost.

Mr. Pentecost is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Richie
Pentecost; 3 sons, Greg (Dessa) Pentecost, Randy (Mary) Pentecost,
Trussville and Scott Pentecost; 3 grandchildren, Tyler Pentecost, Megan
Pentecost and Emily Pentecost; 2 brothers, Ed (Bernice) Pentecost and
Wade Pentecost, Wellington, AL.; 3 sisters, Faye (Joe) Findley, Sue
Kelley and Jo Ann (Lawrence) Martin, Ohatchee; numerous nieces and
nephews.

Pallbearers were Tyler Pentecost, Ed Pentecost, Wade Pentecost, Huey
Pentecost, Kim Pentecost, Erik Pentecost, Patrick Martin and Anthony
Findley.

Honorary Pallbearers were doctors, nurses and staff at Gadsden Regional
Medical Center and all personal friends.
