AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest August 7, 2003, at the Georgia War
Veterans Home, Augusta, Mr. Nelson S. Phillips, husband of the late Ruby
Whitaker Phillips. Graveside services will be held Friday, August 8,
2003, at 2 p.m., in the Westover Memorial Cemetery, Augusta, with the
Rev. Roger Vest officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the
graveside. Mr. Phillips was a native of McDuffie County and a veteran of
World War II Coast Guard. He was also a member of Curtis Baptist Church.
Survivors include sister, Virginia P. Hoffman of Harlem and several
nieces and nephews.
