I'm not going to say new researcher, as Marie has been a long-time researcher of the

The Family of William Pentecost is now known as the Family
of John Pentecost
(of VA>KY>IL). Records from Menard County, IL, documents Williams parents to
be John Pentecost and Elizabeth Pamplin both of Charlotte Co., VA. Research done on
the Scarborough Pentecost (of VA>TN>MO) line indicates that John's father is William
Pentecost (and a brother to Scarborough). This family could soon be reverting back
to the "Family of William Pentecost" very soon.
Carol Wilkerson and Jayne Hill have been added to the list of
contributors/researchers.
A family images page
has been set up with various photos and documents. |
|
| September 15, 1998:
|
We've added three new lines to the page, bringing our total
lines on the page to seven. First, the Family of William Pentecost of England has been
added to our family list below along with new contributor/researcher John F. Pentecost (this line goes back a few miles).
This family was our first orphan line (see entry for August 2, 1998 below).
Next, the Family of George Samuel Pentecost
of South Carolina>Texas has been added and is presented by contributor/researcher Alton Rogers. Most recently, we've add the Family
of Scarborough Pentecost of VA>MS
to our page presented by Lynn Chatham.
That's three lines now that include a Scarborough or some strange derivitive
thereof.
One of the three original founders of the page finally added his family data to
pentecost.org. The Family of Scarborough
Pentecost of VA>TN>MO is up completely. Before, we had been
providing a link to John's genealogy site. John does a good share of the web
writing for pentecost.org (obviously, someone other than John is writing this
blurb!). John provides a great deal of information on this line, and in a nicely
done format. This line is a MUST SEE. |
|
| September 5, 1998: |
We've added a forth line to the site. The Family
of John Pentecost of VA>TN. The
family line is presented by contributor/researcher jan@pentecost.org.

Try it here: http://pentecost.org/search.htm. |
|
| August 2, 1998: |
We've added our first orphan line, the Family of William
Pentecost of Pennsylvania. William was the founder of Forest Mills, PA.
An orphan line on our site is a line that does not have a current researcher that we are
aware. |
|
| July 21, 1998: |
The Pentecost.Org Message Board (or
Pentecost Surname Forum) is added. That same day the first posts are made by William
and Daniel Pentecost. |
